Are you still taking vitamin supplements? Do take note of side effects

Do take note of the side effects of taking vitamin supplement.

Most of the time, vitamin supplements are chemically processed or chemically extracted, thus causing a lot of side effects. E.g eating more vitamin A leads to the risk of having osteoporosis, and there's a limit on the amount that we can take on daily basic.

However, if we are taking the vitamin A from wholesome fruits and vegetable, for example carrot. It doesn't matter how many carrot that we are taking, it will not lead to side effects!

Do check out following article from Straight Time Newspaper.

Check out where does vitamins supplement come from also, you may be surprise that we are taking lots of vitamin by-product such as coal and tar that's made from petroleum when making vitamins

Are you into Cold Pressed Juice Cleanse also?

Saw a very interesting article on Cold Pressed Juice Cleanse, that's getting very popular recently. Seems like it's selling everyday like hot cake.

- The 18 bottles required in 3 day cleanse, each containing 500ml of juice, typically cost around $240-$300 or more, depending on which retailer you buy from and whether organic ingredients are used

- A 300ml bottle of organic juice will set you back by $9.80 while a 500ml bottle costs $16.30 (usually single ingredient)

- But a juice only diet is devoid of valuable dietary fiber, which normalises bowel movement and helps to control blood sugar levels.

What about the ingredients like this, Organic and Non-GMO. How much do you think it will be?

Cactus, Cactus Fruits, Ginseng Berry, Rose, Seaweed and Grape Seed

If I tell you it's $7.8 per day, yet with dietary fiber, it's not only for cleanse, but it enhance the ability for our immune system to Defense, Cleanse and Repair, isn't it better?

Does Panadol really kills the bacteria or viruses?

Message is clear

1. Fever is a normal immune reason whereby immune system is hard at work
2. Taking cold medicine suppress symptoms instead of killing the viruses/bacteria causing the infection
3. Best way is to nourish our immune system further so that it's able to destroy invaders.

Same thing applied for cough syrups also

How to different a healthy or bad oil?

Saw a very interesting article on the cooking oil.

http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/health/story/5-cooking-oils-whats-healthy-and-what-isnt-20140714

monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat,  saturated fat

Does these term sounds familiar? So what to look for in a oil?

On top of the type of the fat, we do have to take look at the Omega 3 and Omega 6 ratio. The lower the Omega 6:Omega 3 ratio the better, as Omega 6 is the factor that leads to inflammation.

Out of all, if taking about lowering cholesterol and preventing cardio diseases, macadamia oil is so far the best, with the ratio of 1:1!

Cactus in the supermarket

Went to my usual morning grocery shopping, and ta-da saw cactus here!

Not cheap though, 1 piece of cactus is selling at min $3.5, and they are recommending 2 pieces per day, since cactus doesn't have much juice!

Beside the cactus, they recommending boiling the cactus as soup. Again, we know that phytochemicals afraid of it, boiling it meaning destroying the nutrients.

Best way to eat is to remove the skin, and add a bit of lemon or honey then eat it raw.

Alternatively, we provides a convenience here!
